Day 77 (August 9)

9.11 miles

She lost. But it is still a "win", because people have overcome fear, apathy and indifference. This morning I was showing my kids BBC website - and I've told them; "Look, Mama's and Dada's countries are the front news today (... unfortunately, not for good reasons)" - Clashes erupt after disputed Belarus election and Beirut explosion: Clashes break out in Beirut.

And here I am... running...

Yes, I am running, because it is about commitment and accountability to myself - finishing what I've started and doing so regardless of what's happening and regardless of excuses. If I can't even do that.. how can I be accountable for other things?

For the past 77 days, while running I've reflected so much on everything... probably more than in the last 3 decades combined. And if I were to sum it up - I am optimistic about the future! If I weren't I wouldn't be where I am today. I "was not supposed to" to be where I am today

The world needs optimists, people who don't give up, who don't wait for thing to happen, they make them happen, who energize others, who bring out the best in others who possess an inner moral compass, who love life and who are genuinely good and strong. And I know it may drive many up the wall, but I am going to say it anyway: you ain't seen nothin' yet.

I've always lived in the future, believing that tomorrow would be better than today and today would be better than yesterday. I still believe that.

P.S. And in my lifetime, I certainly believe I will see a woman President - whether it's in Belarus or US..
