Day 7: Rest Day – Recharge and Reflect

It’s Day 7 of triathlon training, and today’s agenda was simple: REST. No sprints, no laps, no miles—just a day to let my body recover and my mind reset.

Why Rest Days Matter

Rest days aren’t just about taking a break- they’re a key part of the training process. They give your muscles time to repair, your energy to rebuild, and your motivation to stay strong. It’s in the rest that the real growth happens, both physically and mentally.

How I Spent My Rest Day

I kept things easy today. A little stretching, a lot of hydrating, and some extra time to reflect on the first week of training. Honestly, it feels good to pause and look back at how far I’ve come in just a few days.

I pushed through moments of discomfort and found joy in the grind. Taking today to rest feels well-earned, and it’s giving me the energy I’ll need for the week ahead.

Looking Ahead

Week 2 of training starts tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see how much stronger I’ll get.

Here’s to honoring the process - even the quiet moments. I keep going. 💪✨
