Day 44 (July 7)

Sneaked in another 5.5 miles during lunchtime

Solvitur ambulando - When in doubt, RUN!

It was a fast run... knowing that I only have a certain "window of time" to squeeze it in today made me move faster.

Strictly by accident I've stumbled upon the most advanced weapon in my arsenal: instead of cringing from fatigue, I embrace it. I refuse to let it go. I am getting to know it so well daily now, that I am not afraid of it anymore (the muscle hurt, so what.. move on). You can't hate something and expect to beat it. So am enjoying it now (perhaps, in a slight-ish masochist way).

Relax enough, and your body becomes so familiar with the cradle-rocking rhythm that you almost forget you are moving. And once you break through that soft, half-levitating flow, that's when the moonlight and champagne show up (call it a natural high or being "drunk" on running), but I became so in tune with my body... knowing when I can push and when to back off, when I start over-heating, when the breathing is off, when the heart rate goes off the charts and the sweat starts beading on my back.

What can be more sensual than paying exquisite attention to your own body? Sensual, almost romantic, right?
