6.06 miles (total: 2054.73 miles)
I've realized during this morning's run - there is one skill I've acquired during these 363 days - running photography :) Not sure how or whether it will ever be useful, but I've become a pro at taking pictures while running - still, moving, blurry, sharp... any kind you like - I had a lot of time (every day) to practice this skill this past year. Some runs were too perfect to interrupt with photography... I didn't want to pull out the phone to take photos - but I also wanted to preserve the beauty I saw along the way (that's the tradeoff - live in the moment and take it all on or disturb it with technology to "preserve it as a memory"). In any case, many photos (and "out of storage" notifications from pretty much every possible gadget I have) I am a master at "running photography". Don't know why I am writing about this, but it came to mind running this morning.
The run was wet, at time it poured really hard (first shower of the day I reminded myself), and the drivers sharing the road with me probably thought I was "nuts" (you have no idea! of course I am a wild nut :)).
Now that I am on the very last stretch, it's a joy to run (it is all mental) - just like the last few miles of the marathon, so are these last few days - you run it purely with your heart, knowing the end is near :) Will I stop running - OF COURSE NOT!!
My physical condition is the best it's ever been in my entire life!! I wasn't like this not even in my high school playing sports or college or in my twenties running marathons. I feel really fit and the physical changes have been just purely mind-blowing. I also have become pretty much vegan and removed any dairy, eggs, meat, fish or chicken from my diet - I eat lots of fruit, nuts, veggies, plant-based protein and this helped my running tremendously. But enough of all this blabbing - time to get on with life (other things can't wait!!)
2 more days!
"It is so satisfying!" as M tells me :)
