6.67 miles (total: 1864.82 miles)
The only magic in our lives as runners is the magic of consistency. Not every run will make you feel great, but when you add them all up - it is transformational in every sense. It isn’t a matter of getting the body you want, it’s a matter of doing the most you can with the body you have, with all its imperfections, age, quirks. Believing in yourself, when you are completely on your own is so important... especially at that pivotal mile - be it - mile 6, or 3 or 20, going up the hill - when your lungs are burning, legs are cramping and that inner voice chatting in your head is starting to piss you off. Digging deep and scooping out whatever is left inside of you... is excruciating and mentally exhausting some days. But I know stopping would feel even worse, and that's when moving becomes non-negotiable, at whichever speed is sustainable at that moment. Some days, it feels almost suffocating, and yet when I come to the end of the run, I feel at peace with myself.
