5.24 miles (total: 1662.91 miles)
This week has been such a roller-coaster ride. I got schooled, I got patronized, I got congratulated, I got marginalized, I got celebrated, I got humbled, I got accused, I got ignored, I got exhausted... It came to a point where I've felt nothing but the pure stress.
There was a little self-talk that was needed. And it came down to this: don't let people who wouldn't even be able to spell your name right (my birth name is 32 characters long! :)) tell you about you who you are. When you are tempted to believe someone's tainted version of you, or believe their projection of who they think you are, go for a run and remind yourself who you truly are. Because, ultimately, the world will continue to misunderstand us and some days may call us "hostile" or "disrespectful" or "aggressive" or "not fit" or some other random adjective. We can't control that. What we can control is our own image of ourselves, and how surely we are worth of loving, defending and redeeming... in all of our messed-up, but beautiful glory.
Runs always make things better. I finish day 290.
