7.53 miles (total: 1281.70 miles)
Every day it feels like I am starring in three movies at once:
It can feel a bit draining at times.
The weather today was kind enough to give some sunlight on mile 2, which inspired me to take a different route and run a little bit longer than I thought I would when I stepped out of the door. By the time I was approaching home, it turned grey and "moody" again.
I love sunshine and miss it. Everything becomes so much brighter, even with a few rays of sun. Living in Seattle makes you appreciate sun, and when it comes out, you almost become "giddy". I really hope the "dark/grey/patch" of weather passes by quickly. Maybe the mitigation to that is to run in the dark (after all it doesn't matter then whether it's sunny or not - it is all dark) but it has its own advantages and disadvantages.
My muscles are sore, but I can bear it. It is the mind that is getting "really sore" these days from daily running - and that's where commitment comes in. If it were not a Bored Runner, on a day like today or yesterday, I would look outside and say: "nope, today is not the day to go out and run..." But not doing it these days is not even a choice - automatically out, so I just need to find some dry, clean clothes and dry running shoes and go.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery said: "What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step. It is always the same step, but you have to take it."
I will leave it at that today.
