5.5 miles
Somewhere along the line we seem to have confused comfort with happiness. The run today was miserable (weather-wise) and PERFECT at the same time! Pouring rain, dark clouds, end of the day, muddy trails, soaking wet running shoes, foggy running glasses... not a soul outside. And that was exactly what the doctor ordered. IT WAS PERFECT!
The only option was to soldier on, solo.
And I kicked some butt running. I amuse myself now :)
Running and music (better running with the great music in your headphones), in the end, is a source of mystical (almost religious) power. Your running may suck, your speed can be barely there, but when you run and sing (nobody can hear you in that weather anyways) - you are rockin' and you are a star in every sense of the world. I can't explain it, but it's a great feeling..
