7 miles
I've read today running is like "getting drunk in reverse". With drinking, it feels great at first, but then you start feeling awful. With running, you feel awful first, but then, after you finish, you feel great. That sounds like a much better deal.
Running is becoming like a rite of purification. After the running becomes daily, the body starts craving big, varied movements that originate at the core of our body.
I highly recommend to anyone to start running every day - even if you start with just around the block, but every day... Run for 20 minutes and you’ll feel better. Run another 20 and you might tire. Add on 3 hours and you’ll hurt, but keep going and you’ll see and hear and smell and taste the world with a vividness that will make your former life pale. I am starting to feel that I am living in my own little bored runner bubble - it's so good, I don't want to come out :)
