After jumping back into training yesterday with a 7-mile run and 1,250m swim, this day was all about one thing: rest. And honestly? I needed it. I was not too fatigued, but the body was thankful for a break.
Why Rest Days Matter
It’s easy to get caught up in the grind and want to keep pushing every day, but recovery is just as important as the workouts themselves. It’s when the body repairs, adapts, and comes back stronger. Without rest, training becomes a slow burn toward exhaustion instead of progress.
So today, I embraced the downtime. No miles, no laps, and work was too busy anyways. So I was very thankful that I did not feel conflicted.
The Mental Reset
It’s not just about the race. It’s about becoming a stronger version of myself, one workout (and one rest day) at a time.
Back to Work Tomorrow
Day 12 was about recharging. Day 13? Back to the grind. Let’s go. 💪🔥
