5 miles
Another smog day. And yet another different YMCA (the 3rd one in 3 days)... when you wake up at 6AM only to drive to Snoqualmie (yes, that's where the Falls are)... to get into YMCA by appointment to get in 45 minutes on a treadmill in the morning before everyone else woke up... ok, that's a completely different level of Byzantine in my life :)
The walls were a different tint of beige (whoever does interior design for YMCA should be fired!), the sweat was good, the music was amazing... the feeling afterwards - was to die for (absolutely worth every minute of getting there, being there, etc.)
Maybe I am addicted?
if I am, then I am glad at least that I am addicted to running compared to a myriad of other things I could be.
I don't know how many days of this "indoor beige delirium" I can take (of course, I will keep going at it as long as this smog is outside and Alexa keeps saying "the Air Index is dangerously high in your area, you should avoid any strenuous activity outside..."), but I do miss running outside. I miss taking a breath of fresh air. I miss seeing people. I miss seeing my friends and extended family.
Will life ever come back to "how it used to be"?
In the meantime, the running is what brings me joy every single day, and for that I am very grateful.
Done! Time to come get back to "real life"...
