Day 10: Strength in the Pool, Freedom on the Bike
Day 10 of triathlon training, and I’m starting to feel the rhythm of this journey. Today was a mix of focused effort and active recovery - a perfect combination to keep the momentum going.
Interval Swim: 5 x 100m (1,100m Total)
The day kicked off in the pool with an interval swim. The main set was 5x100 meters, adding up to a total of 1,100 meters.
Each interval was a chance to push just a little harder while keeping my form as clean and efficient as possible. Swimming is such a technical sport - it’s not just about brute strength but about moving with purpose and precision.
By the last 100 meters, I could feel my arms and shoulders starting to fatigue, but I powered through, fueled by the thought of how much stronger this is making me. The water has a way of humbling you, but it also leaves you feeling refreshed and accomplished.
Easy Bike: 45 Minutes
After the pool, it was time to hop on the bike for a 45-minute easy ride. This wasn’t about sprints or intervals - just a relaxed effort to keep my legs moving and my body recovering.
There’s something therapeutic about these rides. The steady rhythm of pedaling, the open road, and the time to let my mind wander—it’s like active meditation. My legs got a chance to loosen up, and I finished feeling recharged rather than drained.
Reflections on Day 10
Today’s workout struck a balance between pushing limits and practicing patience. The swim tested my endurance and focus, while the bike reminded me of the importance of pacing myself for the long haul.
Each day of training feels like a building block, and it’s exciting to see how the pieces are starting to come together.
Looking Ahead
Ten days in, and I’m more committed than ever. This journey isn’t just about race day - it’s about learning what I’m capable of and enjoying the process along the way.
On to Day 11. Let’s keep making waves - on land and in the water. 🏊♂️🚴♂️💪
